Gringo’s Travels

Puerto Rico viewed from a gringo’s perspective

About

My main goal for this blog is to attempt and try to give you as much information that I can about Puerto Rico from the perspective of someone from the USA. I will try and walk you through the difference between the two cultures.  Even though Puerto Rico is a territory of the USA, it is different.  Puerto Ricans actually try to hold on to their heritage from Spain yet the influence from the States is to over powering.  It is interesting to watch.  I will also be giving you reviews of some places to visit and place to stay away from.  I do not however want to turn this site into the typical vacation review site.

I want everyone to realize that when you move to a new country that there are many negative and positive things.  So when I point these things out, it might seem that I am putting down whatever country.  This is not my intention.  I love both countries and while I might complain about both, I would not want to change them.  They are both unique and great!
