Big Waves

So if you live in Puerto Rico you already know, but for those of you who are not…

Puerto Rico has some sort of crazy Canadian cold front to our north.   The temperature has been really cool and overcast / rainy these past few days (cool for Puerto Rico that is).  For the next few days we are having some of the highest waves in what the media is touting in 40 years.  The waves are supposed to be up to 25 feet.

“Do not even sit on the beach as waves can come up and take you out to sea for you to drown as the rip currents won’t let go of you(Life fearing warnings I keep hearing)”.  While I understand big waves are dangerous, I have a feeling the media tries to scare you into fear so you will “stay tuned”.

I have not yet gone to watch the waves, but I plan on trying to go after work tomorrow.  I don’t think I’ll be in fear of my life… but maybe I’ll change my mind when I see it.  I think I am more fearfull for the beach erosion and the poor coral that is being battered right now.
