I am starting this blog to give other people my insights about moving to Puerto Rico. I will try to walk you through my journey of experiencing a different culture by giving you comparisons to what we would see in the States. My current plan is to at least have multiple posts a week. I do however have a full time job. So my plan may or may not be possible.

Here is a quick background of me-

I grew up in Texas in a middle class republican family. I would say I had a better than average childhood. Not much happened between now and then. I am now in my 30’s and not even remotely republican like my parents. I have always wanted to live in a Latin country. When my job in the States offered me the opportunity to move, and I took it!

I moved to Puerto Rico with no family, friends, or understanding of the language. This was probably the craziest thing I had ever done. I remember walking outside of the condo that I had rented, looked up at the gorgeous palm trees and said, “What the hell do I do now?” It is now a little over two years. I have to say that this is the best decision I could have ever made.
